The stages of the repair of wooden facades are similar to the repair of brick facades, the main difference is only in the use of special materials and coatings for wood. In general terms, the stages of the restoration of wooden facades can be represented in the following sequence:
1. Diagnostics of wood for deformations, cracks and insects – pests;
2. Fumigation of insects;
3. Cleaning the surface of wood from fungi, mold, dirt and dust;
4. Sealing cracks, chips and dents with special putty;
5. Primer;
6. Painting wood with high-quality paint.
With correctly carried out restoration work, the wooden facade of the building will last for many years.
